Tricia is the creator and facilitator of empowerment courses both online and live events in Illinois since 2010. Tricia has almost 20 years of education and coaching experience.

You are responsible for maintaining your school and meeting your state's requirements.

Empowering Grades 6–12 through rigorous academics, real‑world learning, and confidence‑building experiences.
High School Core Classes (Tuesdays & Thursdays • 9:30–3:00 PM)
SunRaise Academy’s high school program provides a strong academic foundation with college‑aligned coursework, hands‑on learning, and small‑group
instruction.
Core Courses Offered Fall 2026
Forensic Science — Crime‑scene analysis, evidence evaluation, lab techniques, and real‑world investigative science.
Psychology — Human behavior, cognition, development, and mental processes through engaging case studies.
World Literature & Composition — Global texts, analytical writing, argument development, and expressive composition.
Algebra I / Geometry — Foundational and advanced mathematical reasoning, problem‑solving, and real‑world applications.
Human Geography (AP Option Available) — Population patterns, cultural systems, global development, and spatial analysis. Students may take this as an AP‑level course.
Friday Electives (9:30–2:30 PM)
Friday electives allow students to explore interests, build life skills, and develop creativity in a relaxed, collaborative environment.

Study Skills — Executive functioning, organization, note‑taking, test prep, and academic confidence.
Food Science — Culinary chemistry, nutrition, kitchen safety, and hands‑on cooking labs.
Art & Graphic Media — Digital design, illustration, mixed media, and creative expression.
Young Teacher Program — Students learn classroom leadership, lesson planning basics, and peer‑teaching strategies.

Basic Math skills required for trade skills. Includes monthly at home workshop projects that goes along with the concepts learned.

Covers Linear equations, Systems of equations, inequalities, functions, and graphs, Sequences, Absolute Value, Quadratics, Irrational numbers

Algebra 2 with Trigonometry
Guides through linear equations, inequalities, graphs, matrices, polynomials, radical expressions, quadratic equations, functions, logarithmic expressions, probability and trigonometry.

A comprehensive course with advanced algebra, trigonometry, and introductory calculus concepts. Prepare for college-level math with engaging lessons and practical problem-solving skills.

Master the art of language in our Homeschool Grammar and Writing course. Sharpen your grammar skills, enhance writing clarity and creativity, and engage in various writing styles. Perfect for budding writers and effective communicators.

Club
Join our Homeschool Reading Club, where young book lovers unite! Dive into exciting worlds, explore diverse genres, and share your thoughts in lively discussions. Enhance comprehension, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for reading.

Speech
Students will improve on public speaking skills needed for self- confidence and effective communication. Specifically, geared to the young entrepreneur, we will cover topics such as 30 second “elevator pitches” and networking skills.

Club
Students will meet to weekly to lay out the yearbook for the end of the year publication. They will learn and or use photography skills, editing, learn platforms such as CANVA, and other social media platforms for a “virtual yearbook” as well.

Learn, practice, and speak Spanish. Weekly conversation based on the self-paced study. Com Spanish 101 and 102.

Strengthen your understanding of basic French with this class and boost your performance in a French class or improve your personal French skills.

Psychology
A Comprehensive Course for High School Students to understand and work with children.

Students will enjoy an interactive approach to discovering the people and civilizations of our World as we learn about the events in history. Begins with Ancient history – current.

Law
Explore the U.S. Constitution and the legal system. Delve into landmark cases, government roles, and engage in hands-on mock trials. Perfect for informed citizens and aspiring lawyers..

Chemistry
Structure and Property, Chemical reactions, Changes in matter, mole reaction, Reaction rate, nuclear process and more.

Anatomy
Each month students will take an in depth look at a system of the human body. Students will be able to identify the parts of each system and the function it serves in the body.

Explore the language of music. Delve into notation, scales, chords, rhythm, and harmony. Designed for aspiring musicians, this course lays a solid foundation for understanding and creating music.

Cooking Science
Nutrition and Health in a hands- on experience. Learn healthy ways to prepare foods. Explore reactions in the kitchen while preparing great food!
